Nice To Be Here - This song title jumped out at me because I've talked to people who believed that hell is life here on earth. Because I used to believe that. To die would be release from the torment of living. There could be nothing worse than this life.

It's the path to suicide and death.

How was I saved from this? What changed by life? Jesus Christ. I can remember what it was like before I was a Christian and I remember how meaningless it was to hear someone say that Jesus saved my life. I had tried to change and my life and couldn't do it. How could someone who died 2000 years ago make any difference? It made no sense.

But Jesus did it anyway. How did he change my life? He came to live within me. I gave up on saving myself and trusted Jesus alone to save me... and he did. He saved me from depression. He saved me from pornography. He saved me from illness. And he saved me from sin.

So now I live a perfect life... not at all. It is far from perfect. Jesus does not promise happiness. He does promise peace, joy and eternal salvation.
